New Delhi: Doctors say that the risk of Type 2 diabetes increases with body weight. They say that if there is weakness due to weight gain then it is a disease and if you get strength by losing weight then it is to recover from the disease. The doctor said that to combat obesity, losing weight and maintaining ideal weight are the right steps towards reducing the loss.

He said that the chances of achieving this condition are more than three to seven times as compared to those with normal weight in obese people, but due to a decrease of 5 to 10 percent weight in six months, diabetes and other diseases related to obesity The beginning can be delayed.

Dr. K.K., Chairman, Heart Care Foundation (HCFI) Agarwal said, “When our weight grows, we should get more strength and when we lose weight, we should reduce strength. This is a fundamental medical theory. If we gain weight and feel weak So it is a disease and when we lose weight and gain strength, then we recover from the disease. ”

Dr. Agrawal said, “When you reduce insulin resistance by medicines or strolls, then metabolism becomes normal and whatever you eat becomes converted into energy and you start getting strength.”

Senior consultant diabetologist Dr Anoop Misra said, “It is not important to gain an ideal weight.” To reduce the onset of diabetes in obesity, it is a medical purpose to lose weight. Even a kilogram weight loss is also a good thing. ”

He said, “With the sweetened drink reduction of calories (with only one bathing per day) in 18 months, approximately two-and-a-half pounds of weight can be reduced, although self-regulating the body can be done by eating solid foods. This does not apply to what we drink. The body does not accommodate liquid calories, so over time the weight begins to grow. “

Doctors Some Tips:

* Reduce intake of complex carbohydrate because they increase blood sugar levels and insulin production. In people with insulin resistance, this increase can lead to further weight gain. Monitor your blood glucose levels at regular intervals.

* Make a goal of doing approximately 30 to 45 minutes of physical activity every day five times per week.

* Do not consume the refined sugar in any form as it can be absorbed in the blood stream more easily and can cause further complications.

* Reduce stress through activities like meditation and yoga.
