Agomelatine is used for the treatment of major depressive episodes in adults.Agomelatine is an anti-depressant .Agomelatine may also have help with sleep and cognition.

Side Effects of Agoprex 25mg Tab 10s

Side effects of Agomelatine may include headache, dizziness, insomnia (difficulty sleeping), migraine, nausea , diarrhoea, constipation, abdominal pain , vomiting, hyperhidrosis (excessive sweating), back pain, fatigue (tiredness), increases in liver enzymes and anxiety etc..

Drug Interactions

Agomelatine may interact with other anti depressant medication and also with alcohol.

Contraindications

Agomelatine is contraindicated in patients with kidney or liver impairment.

Mechanism of Action

Agomelatine is a melatonin receptor agonist.
