Uses of Extacef-100 Tab

Mechanism of Action

Cefixime is a third-generation cephalosporin antibiotic that works by interfering with the formation of the bacterial cell wall. The cell wall is an important part of the structure of bacteria, and without it, the bacteria cannot survive.

As a result, the cell wall becomes weak and eventually breaks down, causing the bacteria to die.
