Uses of Agna 10000 Capsule 10s

Pancreatin capsules are prescribed for the treatment of exocrine pancreatic insufficiency, chronic pancreatitis, pancreatectomy, or other conditions.
They act as replacement to digestive enzymes secreted by pancreas.

Side Effects of Agna 10000 Capsule 10s

Some of the common side effects of pancreatin include:
1. Stomach pain
2. Abdominal bloating
3. Swollen or painful joints
4. Increase in urine output
5. Diarrhea

Drug Interactions

No drug interactions have been identified/reported/studied.

Contraindications

Should not be used if your are hypersensitive to pancreatin or other excipients.

Mechanism of Action

Pancreatin are part of digestive enzymes secreted by pancreas in the body. They act by hdrolyising (break down):
1. Fats to monoglycerol, glycerol and fatty acids
2. Protein into peptides and amino acids, and
3. Starch into dextrins and short chain sugars.

Special Precautions

Precautions should be taken if you are suffering from gout, renal impairment, or hyperuricemia (high level of uric acid in blood).
Should be withdrawn if you get signs of fibrosing colonopathy during therapy with pancreatins .Fibrosing colonopathy is a rare, serious adverse reaction initially described in association with high-dose pancreatic enzyme use .

Take orally with food and water, as directed by your physician.

Keep in a cool, dry place away from sunlight and moisture.
