Clozapine is an antipsychotic medicine and is used in the treatment of schizophrenia and other mental health problems. It improves social interaction, expressions and mood of patient.

Side Effects of Chrozap 50mg Tablet 10s

Side effects of Clozapine may include sudden weakness or ill feeling; fever, swollen glands, body aches, flu symptoms; or mouth sores, red or swollen gums, and trouble swallowing. Common clozapine side effects may include: weight gain; tremor, dizziness, spinning sensation; headache, drowsiness; fast heart rate; nausea, constipation; dry mouth, or increased salivation; blurred vision; or increased sweating.

Drug Interactions

Fluvoxamine inhibits the metabolism of clozapine leading to significantly increased blood levels of clozapine. When carbamazepine is concurrently used with clozapine, it has been shown to decrease plasma levels of clozapine significantly thereby decreasing the beneficial effects of clozapine

Mechanism of Action

Clozapine is classified as an atypical antipsychotic drug because it binds to serotonin as well as dopamine receptors.

How to Use

Take orally with food and water, as directed by your physician.

Keep in a cool, dry place away from sunlight and moisture.
