Uses of Jointace-DN Cap

Glucosamine helps in building cartilge, tendons and tendons around bones and joint . Thereby it enhances joint lubrication , cushioning of joints and elevates pain around joints. It is used along with other medicines like chondrotin or diacerin for better joint cushioning and lubrication. Its uses include treatment of pain associated with osteoarthritis or other joint pains related to cartilage damage.

Side Effects of Jointace-DN Cap

Diarrhoea, epigastric pain, nausea, vomiting, intense yellow colouring of urine.

Drug Interactions

Decreased absorption with aluminium and/or magnesium hydroxide antacids. Increased risk of diarrhoea with laxatives, antibiotics. Avoid co-admin with fibres and phytates.

Contraindications

Pregnancy, lactation. Hypersensitivity to anthraquinone derivatives

Mechanism of Action

Diacerein is an anthraquinone derivative that has been used in osteoarthritis. It is thought to act via inhibition of interleukin-1β.

Special Precautions

Renal impairment. Monitor CBC, LFT and urinalysis every 6 mth.

How to Use

Take orally with food and water, as directed by your physician.

How to Store

Keep in a cool, dry place away from sunlight and moisture.

• Alcohol: Avoid during treatment.
• Breastfeeding: Not recommended.
• Pregnancy: Contraindicated.
• Liver/Kidney: Use with caution.
