Uses of Rivared 10s Tablet 10s

1. Rivaroxaban is used for reducing the risk of stroke and systemic embolism in patients with nonvalvular atrial fibrillation (AF) .
2. Rivaroxaban is also used in treatment of deep vein thrombosis (DVT) and
3. treatment of pulmonary embolism (PE).
4. Rivaroxaban is also indicated in prophylaxis of DVT, which may lead to PE in patients undergoing knee replacement surgery and hip replacement surgery.

Side Effects of Rivared 10s Tablet 10s

This is an anti-coagulant medicine and its side effects include risk of bleeding, for example, bleeding gums, nosebleeds, heavier periods, and bruising .

Drug Interactions

Simultaneous use other anti-coagulants medicines along with rivaroxaban should be avoided because this may increase the risk of bleeding in the patient . Promptly evaluate any signs or symptoms of blood loss if patients are treated concomitantly with aspirin, other platelet aggregation inhibitors, or NSAIDs.
2. Blood thinning medicines like rivaroxaban has the potency to interact negatively with high-vitamin K rich foods such as leafy greens, broccoli, brussel sprouts, and collards etc.

Contraindications

Active pathological bleeding Severe and hypersensitivity reaction to Rivaroxaban.

Mechanism of Action

Rivaroxaban belongs to the class of anti-coagulants which have the potency of inhibiting Factor- Xa thereby prevents blood clot formation.

Special Precautions

Risk of bleeding , use with caution in Spinal/Epidural Anaesthesia or Puncture or Renal Impairment .

How to Use

Take orally with food and water, as directed by your physician.
