Uses of Solacid-O Syrup

Oxetacaine is a potent local anesthetic. It is administered orally for the relief of pain associated with peptic ulcer disease or esophagitis. It is also used topically in the management of hemorrhoid pain. Used in the treatment of gastric ulcers , hyperacidity and other gastric symptoms related to higher secretions of gastric acid.

Side Effects of Solacid-O Syrup

Common side effects of antacids include Flatulence , loss of appetite and constipation.

Drug Interactions

Antacid may interact with preparations containing iron and other metal, it may cause chelation of iron and thus reducing its absorption from the stomach . So if you are taking antacids and oral iron supplements, then keep a gap between dosage .
