Uses of Acitrom 2 mg Tablet 10s

Nicoumalone is an anticoagulant. Nicoumalone is commonly used in treatment of Deep vein thrombosis (prophylaxis ), Duodenal errosions, Myocardial infarction, Prevention of thrombosis, Prophylaxis of embolisation, Prosthetic heart valves, Pulmonary embolism, Rheumatic heart disease.

Side Effects of Acitrom 2 mg Tablet 10s

Nicoumalone side effects include Bleeding,GI bleeding, Hematuria, Bruising, Hemorrhage

Drug Interactions

Nicoumalone may interact with various medications like Clopidogrel Co-Trimoxazole, Metronidazole , Phenobarbitone, Sulphinpyrazone, Sulphinpyrazone and Vitamin K .

Contraindications

Nicoumalone is contraindicated in Haemorrhage,Cerebrovascular disease, stroke.

Special Precautions

Drug should not be given to Paediatrics, Pregnant Mothers, Cardiac / Hypertensive Patients, patients suffering from Kidney dysfunction, patients suffering from Liver Malfunction, and Neonates
