Uses of Cipcal Syrup 200ml

The combination of calcium and vitamin D3 is used to prevent or treat low blood calcium levels, which can lead to a number of health problems, including:

  1. Osteoporosis: A condition in which bones become weak and brittle, increasing the risk of fractures.
  2. Rickets: A condition in children that causes soft, weak bones.
  3. Hypoparathyroidism: A condition in which the parathyroid glands do not produce enough parathyroid hormone, which helps regulate calcium levels in the blood.
  4. Latent tetany: A condition that causes muscle cramps and spasms due to low calcium levels in the blood.

Calcium and vitamin D3 may also be used to:

  1. Prevent bone loss in postmenopausal women.
  2. Treat bone loss in people with certain medical conditions, such as rheumatoid arthritis or malabsorption syndrome.
  3. Improve bone health in people with osteoporosis.
  4. Promote wound healing.
  5. Prevent dental problems.

It is important to talk to your doctor before taking calcium and vitamin D3 supplements, especially if you have any health conditions.

  2. Bisphosphonates: These medications are used to treat osteoporosis. They can also bind to calcium, making it difficult for the body to absorb.
  3. Estrogen: Estrogen can increase the absorption of calcium from the diet. However, it can also increase the risk of kidney stones in people who take high doses of calcium.
  4. Levothyroxine: This medication is used to treat hypothyroidism. It can be affected by calcium supplements, so it is important to take them at least 4 hours apart.

In addition to medications, there are also some supplements that can interact with calcium and vitamin D3. These include:

  1. Iron supplements: Iron supplements can bind to calcium in the stomach and intestines, making it difficult for the body to absorb.
  2. Magnesium supplements: Magnesium supplements can also bind to calcium in the stomach and intestines, making it difficult for the body to absorb.
  3. Folate supplements: Folate supplements can increase the risk of kidney stones in people who take high doses of calcium.

Contraindications

When calcium and vitamin D3 are taken together, they work together to improve calcium absorption and help to maintain strong bones and teeth. They may also help to prevent osteoporosis, a condition that causes bones to become weak and brittle.
