Uses of HARVONI TABLET 28s
Sofosbuvir and Ledipasvir combination medicine is used in the treatment of chronic hepatitis C virus (HCV) infection .
Side Effects of HARVONI TABLET 28s
Most common side effects of sofosbuvir along with ledipasvir include tiredness, headache , muscle cramps and sometimes nausea. These side effects during the initial days of commencing the treatment and subsequently disappear with time. If any serious side effects appear consult your physician .
Drug Interactions
Bradycardia with amiodarone coadministration:
Serious symptomatic bradycardia may occur in patients taking amiodarone, particularly in
patients also receiving beta blockers, or those with underlying cardiac comorbidities and/or advanced liver disease. Coadministration of amiodarone with Sofosbuvir and Ledipasvir is not recommended.
Mechanism of Action
Both Sofosbuvir and Ledipasvir have anti-viral effect and they reduce the viral load of Hepatitis C virus from the blood and liver .
How to Use
Take orally with food and water, as directed by your physician.
How to Store
Keep in a cool, dry place away from sunlight and moisture.
Safety Concerns
- Alcohol: Avoid during treatment.
- Breastfeeding: Not recommended.
- Pregnancy: Contraindicated.
- Liver/Kidney: Use with caution.
